Scope of inspection

 

Applicable materials: Covering conventional and special ductile iron such as QT450-10, QT500-7, QT600-3, QT700-2, including ductile iron in different heat treatment states such as as as cast, annealed, normalized, quenched and tempered, and isothermal quenched.
Applicable workpieces: ductile iron castings suitable for mechanical, automotive, engineering machinery, pressure equipment, machine tools and other fields, including crankshafts, camshafts, valve bodies, pump bodies, wheel hubs, structural components and other finished and blank parts.
Inspection purpose: Used for incoming acceptance of castings, production process quality control, heat treatment process verification, failure analysis, and metallographic quality qualification judgment.

 

 

Inspection Item

 

Graphite spheroidization grade evaluation: Test the graphite spheroidization effect and evaluate the spheroidization grade based on the proportion of spherical, quasi spherical, clustered, flocculent, and flake graphite.
Graphite morphology and distribution detection: Check the shape and distribution uniformity of graphite, and determine whether there are abnormalities such as graphite floating and aggregation.
Graphite size rating: Determine the size of graphite particles, classify graphite size levels according to standards, and evaluate the degree of graphite refinement.
Matrix organization testing: Determine the type of matrix organization (ferrite, pearlite, cementite, phosphorus eutectic, etc.), and test the proportion of each tissue phase content.
Metallographic defect detection: detecting microscopic defects such as shrinkage porosity, porosity, slag inclusion, reverse whitening, abnormal carbides, and phosphorus eutectic segregation.
Heat treatment effect evaluation: Verify the effectiveness of heat treatment processes such as annealing, normalizing, and tempering through the proportion of matrix structure.
