Steel structure is a structure composed of steel materials and is one of the main types of building structures. The structure is mainly composed of beam steel, steel columns, steel trusses and other components made of section steel and steel plates, and adopts rust removal and rust prevention processes such as silanization, pure manganese phosphating, water washing and drying, galvanizing, etc. Welding seams, bolts, or rivets are usually used to connect various components or parts. Due to its light weight and easy construction, it is widely used in large factories, venues, super high-rise buildings and other fields. Steel structures are prone to rusting, and generally require rust removal, galvanizing, or coating, as well as regular maintenance.

Test items

 

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT): Used for the inspection of workpieces with a thickness greater than 8mm, it can detect defects such as internal cracks and delamination in steel structures

Penetrant testing (PT): for defects that may occur inside steel structure welds, such as porosity, pinholes, inclusions, porosity, cracks, segregation, lack of penetration, and insufficient fusion

Ultrasonic testing (UT): can detect surface and near surface defects (such as cracks, inclusions, streaks, folds, pores, etc.)

Radiographic testing (RT): capable of detecting surface open defects in various non porous materials

 

Other testing items

 

Steel mechanics testing: Testing the mechanical properties of steel used in steel structures, such as tension, bending, impact, hardness, etc.

Mechanical testing of fasteners: Testing the mechanical properties of fasteners used in steel structures, such as anti slip coefficient, axial force, etc.

Chemical composition: Conduct chemical composition analysis on the steel used in steel structures.

Stress testing: Testing and monitoring the stress changes in key areas during the installation and unloading process of steel structures.
