Testing items

(1) Basic performance testing
Appearance quality: Surface smoothness, no cracks, no bubbles, no impurities, no missing glue, no obvious color difference, and the joint connection is firm and reliable.
Dimensional accuracy: length deviation, width deviation, thickness deviation, consistency of cross-sectional dimensions, and conformity testing of profile dimensions of irregular waterstop strips.
(2) Physical and mechanical performance testing
Hardness (Shore A): Determine the hardness of the waterstop substrate and evaluate its deformation recovery ability.
Tensile properties: tensile strength, elongation at break, tensile stress, evaluate the load-bearing and deformation capacity of materials.
Tear strength: Test the material's ability to resist tearing and prevent damage during use.
Compression permanent deformation: Evaluate the shape recovery performance after long-term compression to ensure sealing durability.
Bonding performance: The bonding strength between the waterstop and concrete, the bonding strength of the waterstop's own joint, and the evaluation of installation reliability.

(3) Expansion performance testing (specifically designed for water expansion)
Volume expansion rate: The expansion rate is measured at different immersion times of 24h, 72h, and 168h, and is classified into levels such as ≥ 150%, ≥ 220%, and ≥ 300% according to the model.
Repeated immersion performance: The retention rate of expansion ratio after multiple dry wet cycles is evaluated for long-term stability.
Expansion pressure: Measure the lateral pressure generated when encountering water expansion to verify the waterproofing effect.

(4) Durability and environmental adaptability testing
Hot air aging: Performance retention rate (tensile strength, elongation, expansion ratio) at 70 ℃/100 ℃.
Ozone aging: resistance to ozone cracking under static stretching, suitable for outdoor and harsh environments.
Low temperature flexibility: No cracks when bent at -20 ℃/-30 ℃, evaluate the adaptability of low-temperature construction and use.
Chemical resistant media: acid and alkali resistance, salt water resistance, mud resistance, drinking water resistance, sewage resistance, and other properties.
Salt spray corrosion: Corrosion resistance testing of metal accessories (if any).
Heat resistance: No flow or softening at 80 ℃, suitable for construction environment temperature.

(5) Sealing and waterproof performance testing
Anti leakage pressure: Determine the sealing ability of the waterstop under water pressure, generally requiring ≥ 0.3MPa.
Hydrostatic pressure test: No leakage under continuous pressure to verify the actual waterproof effect.
Water absorption rate: Evaluate the water absorption characteristics of non expanding materials to avoid excessive water absorption affecting performance.

(6) Special performance testing
Putty type waterstop: sag, operable time, curing speed detection.
Grouting pipe waterstop: testing for grouting smoothness, sealing reliability, and pull-out resistance.
Flame retardant performance: Evaluation of the combustion performance level of water stop strips used in special occasions.
