Depth Detection Of Nitriding Layer

Applicable materials: Suitable for various types of steel that can undergo nitriding treatment, such as carbon steel, alloy steel, tool steel, mold steel, stainless steel, etc.

Applicable workpieces: Suitable for shafts, gears, molds, wear-resistant structural components, and mechanical parts treated by processes such as gas nitriding, ion nitriding, and nitrogen carbon co nitriding (soft nitriding).

Inspection purpose: Used for nitriding process verification, part quality acceptance, surface wear resistance and fatigue performance evaluation, and failure analysis.

Effective nitriding layer depth detection: The hardness method is used to determine the vertical depth from the surface to the point where the hardness is higher than the specified value of the substrate.

Depth detection of compound layer (white bright layer): Measure the thickness of the dense nitride layer on the surface.

Diffusion layer organization evaluation: Observe the morphology, nitride distribution, and morphology of the diffusion layer organization.

Hardness gradient detection of nitriding layer: measuring the microhardness change from the surface to the core.
