Testing Scope
Applicable materials: Suitable for various chromium nickel based alloys such as nickel chromium molybdenum corrosion-resistant alloys, nickel chromium iron based alloys, super nickel based corrosion-resistant alloys, etc., covering typical grades such as Hastelloy C series, Inconel 625, Incoloy 825, etc.
Applicable objects: including nickel based chromium containing alloy plates, rods, pipes, forgings, welded joints, flanges, pipe fittings, and equipment components serving in corrosive environments such as chloride, acidic saltwater, and marine environments.
Applicable scenarios: Suitable for assessing the pitting corrosion sensitivity of materials in solid solution, welding, heat treatment, and long-term service environments containing chloride ions. Used for material selection, quality acceptance, corrosion resistance grading, and service safety evaluation.
Testing items
Critical pitting temperature (CPT) determination: In a standard ferric chloride solution, the temperature is gradually increased to determine the lowest temperature at which pitting occurs for the first time in the material.
Spot corrosion morphology detection: observe the location, quantity, size, and distribution of spot corrosion, measure the depth of spot corrosion, and determine the severity of spot corrosion.
Special testing of welded joints: Determine the critical pitting temperature of welds and heat affected zones, and evaluate the impact of welding on pitting resistance performance.
Pitting sensitivity assessment: Based on the critical pitting temperature value, compare the pitting resistance of materials of different grades and states.
Corrosion result determination: Determine whether the pitting corrosion is qualified according to the standard requirements and provide the material's pitting corrosion resistance level.
