Metal material testing techniques are based on various scientific principles and are widely used in industrial production and quality control. Electromagnetic induction principles, by detecting eddy currents and their opposing magnetic fields generated in metal objects within a changing magnetic field (with a sensitivity of up to 0.1 mm³ iron particles), enable metal detection, making it suitable for safety inspections in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

 

The testing utilizes high-frequency alternating current (frequency range 1 kHz-10 MHz) to generate eddy currents in conductors, identifying defects through changes in the current path (detecting cracks as shallow as 0.5 mm), and is commonly used for non-destructive testing of aerospace components and pipes. X-ray fluorescence analysis, by exciting metal atoms to emit characteristic X-rays (energy resolution <150 eV), accurately determines elemental composition and plays a crucial role in alloy identification and precious metal recycling.
