Scope of Inspection
Applicable materials: Suitable for various types of magnesium and magnesium alloys such as industrial pure magnesium, deformed magnesium alloys, cast and die cast magnesium alloys, etc.
Applicable objects: including magnesium alloy sheets, rods, profiles, pipes, forgings, castings, die castings, structural components, and parts.
Inspection purpose: Used for magnesium material grade identification, incoming material acceptance, production quality control, inventory classification, spare parts replacement, and failure analysis material determination.
Inspection items
Quantitative detection of chemical composition: Determine the content of magnesium matrix and alloy elements such as aluminum, zinc, manganese, zirconium, rare earth, and lithium, and detect the content of impurity elements such as iron, copper, nickel, and silicon.
Microstructure inspection: Observe grain size, phase composition, casting structure, deformation and recrystallization structure to determine the microstructure state.
Hardness testing: Measuring Brinell and Vickers hardness to assist in distinguishing grades and heat treatment states.
Grade comparison and determination: Compare the composition, structure, and properties with standard grades to determine the grade of magnesium and magnesium alloys.
Organizational defect inspection: detecting segregation, looseness, inclusions, coarse grains, abnormal and equivalent defects.
