Different from conventional appearance inspection, our steel wire performance testing focuses on core physical and mechanical properties, durability and structural stability. Full-Coverage Core Performance Testing Items
Our QC team carries out systematic and rigorous testing for key performance indicators of steel wire, covering all core indicators required by mainstream standards such as ISO, ASTM and GB, with complete testing data and traceable records.
1. Tensile Strength & Elongation Testing Tensile strength is the most core mechanical indicator of steel wire, which reflects the maximum bearing capacity and tensile resistance of the product. We use high-precision universal tensile testing machines to conduct destructive tensile tests on sampled steel wires, accurately detecting tensile strength, yield strength and break elongation. The test data ensures that the steel wire has stable load-bearing capacity and good toughness, avoids brittle fracture and deformation during high-load use, and adapts to complex stress working conditions.
2. Bending & Torsion Performance Testing For steel wires used in flexible processing and repeated bending scenarios, we conduct repeated bending and torsion fatigue tests. Through continuous reciprocating bending and torsion experiments, we verify the structural stability of the steel wire, check whether there are cracks, fractures and structural damage after repeated deformation. This testing item effectively guarantees the excellent processing performance and fatigue resistance of the steel wire, meeting the requirements of deep processing such as weaving, bending and forming.
3. Diameter Tolerance & Surface Precision Inspection We adopt high-precision micrometers and laser measuring instruments to detect the diameter of steel wires at multiple points, strictly controlling dimensional tolerance within the standard allowable range. At the same time, we conduct full visual inspection of the surface to ensure no cracks, burrs, scratches, rust spots, oxidation and other defects on the steel wire surface. Uniform diameter and smooth surface ensure consistent processing effect and assembly accuracy of downstream products.
4. Chemical Composition Analysis The chemical composition of steel wire determines its fundamental mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. We conduct precise analysis of carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, phosphorus and other core elements of raw materials and finished products to ensure stable material ratio, qualified impurity content, and effectively guarantee the overall uniformity, strength consistency and inherent quality stability of the steel wire.
5. Corrosion & Rust Resistance Testing For steel wires used in outdoor, marine and humid environments, we carry out simulated anti-corrosion and rust resistance tests, including salt spray test and atmospheric aging test. By simulating harsh service environments, we verify the durability and anti-oxidation ability of the steel wire, ensure that the product maintains stable performance in long-term use, and extend the service life of engineering applications.
6. Flatness & Structural Uniformity Detection We inspect the straightness, flatness and internal structural uniformity of steel wires to avoid bending, distortion and internal stress concentration. The standardized detection ensures that the steel wire has neat appearance and stable internal structure, no hidden structural defects, and provides a solid foundation for high-precision processing and engineering installation.
Standardized Testing Process to Ensure Quality Consistency
In order to avoid quality fluctuations of different batches of products, our factory has formulated a complete set of standardized steel wire testing management procedures, covering the whole process from raw material incoming inspection, production process sampling to finished product delivery inspection.
In the production process, inspectors conduct random sampling at regular intervals to monitor real-time product performance changes; after the finished products are off the line, full-batch sampling inspection is carried out in strict accordance with international standard sampling ratios. All unqualified products are strictly isolated, reworked or scrapped, and are never allowed to be delivered. At the same time, all testing data, experimental waveforms and inspection reports are archived electronically and in paper form permanently, realizing full life cycle traceability of product quality.
