The standard testing procedure for building materials begins with the preparation of representative samples. First, representative samples are collected according to relevant standards, and the samples undergo necessary processing, curing, or pretreatment to reach a stable state. Subsequently, the testing environment (such as temperature and humidity) must be controlled within the standard-specified range, and all testing instruments must be calibrated or verified to ensure they are in effective and accurate working condition.
The specific testing steps for building materials strictly follow standard methods. For example, when conducting a concrete compressive strength test, the standard-cured specimen is placed on the center of the lower platen of the compression testing machine, and pressure is applied uniformly at a specified loading rate until failure, while the maximum load value is automatically recorded. Throughout the process, detailed records of raw data, environmental conditions, instrument status, and any abnormal phenomena must be kept. After the test is completed, the data is promptly subjected to preliminary calculation and verification to ensure that the records are complete, accurate, and traceable.
